Vin Diesel honored his "Fast & Furious" costar Paul Walker on the ninth anniversary of Walker's death with a heartfelt Instagram post.

"Nine years… love you and miss you," Diesel captioned a photo of himself and Walker standing in front of a white car together.
Walker died in a 2013 car accident while in the midst of filming the seventh "Fast & Furious" movie. His character was subsequently written out of the franchise.
Diesel (real name Mark Sinclair) plays Dominic Toretto in the "Fast & Furious" movies, while Walker played Toretto's close friend, former LAPD officer Brian O'Conner. In real life, the men had a similarly close bond.
"Fast & Famous" cast members regularly pay tribute to the late Walker.
In 2021, Diesel shared a heartfelt letter to Walker on Instagram on the eighth anniversary of his death, along with a photo of their respective daughters Hania and Meadow on Meadow's wedding day. (Diesel reportedly walked Meadow down the aisle during the ceremony.)
"Miss you. My children always tell me that uncle Paul is with you dad, always... and I know in my heart that they are right," Diesel wrote in the emotional letter.
And in 2020, Diesel also marked the seventh anniversary of Walker's death with an Instagram post.

"Seven years... Not a day passes... All love, Always," Diesel captioned a photo of himself and Walker together.

Vin Diesel grew emotional once again as he remembered his old friend Paul Walker on his death anniversary.

Vin Diesel shares posts about Paul Walker every year.

Tuesday marked eight years since Fast & Furious star Paul Walker's death. Remembering him, his friend and actor Vin Diesel opened up about the impact Paul had on him.
Taking to Instagram, Vin shared a picture of his daughter Hania and Paul's daughter Meadow from the latter's recent wedding. Hania was the maid of honour at the wedding.

"I can remember that day when you and I were filming that scene in F4 where we were eating Chinese food and we had a brother combat scene which ended in you saying 'Letty just wanted you to come home Dom...' When we were done filming that day you came into my trailer and asked, what's on your mind? You always knew when something was on my mind," Vin said. "...I told you that I was about to have a baby and didn't know what to expect at the hospital which I was heading to after work," he wrote.

He continued, "Will never forget what you told me... you said a lot of tough guys will tell you to wait outside of the delivery room, but that's wrong. Go in there, actually cut the umbilical cord and it will be the best day of your life. You of course, was talking from experience, having already an angel of your own. It's been eight years today... and not a day goes by that I don't reflect of the brotherhood we were blessed to have... but you know that."

"Tragedies in life are always followed by life's blessings if you just stay open and have faith. Look at this photo Pablo, it will make you smile. The same angel that you helped me prepare for in the most beautiful way with your brotherly advice is the same angel that precious Meadow asked to be her Maid of Honor," he added.

He concluded, "How could I have known that back on the 2008 set of Fast... but maybe somehow you did. Miss you. My children always tell me that uncle Paul is with you dad, always... and I know in my heart that they are right. Miss you Pablo."

Paul died in a car accident on November 30, 2013. Vin and Paul were best friends and had worked together on multiple movies from the franchise.

"Nine years… love you and miss you," Diesel, 55, posted alongside the photo.

Walker died on Nov. 30, 2013, in a car crash. He was 40. As he was in the middle of filming Fast 7 at the time, Paul's brothers Caleb and Cody were hired to stand in for him for the remainder of production, before his face was digitally superimposed onto their bodies.
Walker's brother Cody spoke to TMZ last year, praising the way Diesel has continued to honor his late brother.

Paul Walker's Daughter Meadow Shares Sweet Childhood Throwback for Late Dad's 48th Birthday
"I think Vin and the whole family have done a good job tastefully letting the character ride off into the sunset. I think Paul would get a real kick out of where it's gone. It's gotten so crazy. It's a wild, wild ride at this point," said Cody, who briefly appeared in Furious 7 while helping the franchise write off Walker's character.
"I can't speculate what he would think, I just know that Vin always takes a very serious approach to keeping Paul's legacy in mind and has always done a really nice job paying tribute to his character," Cody added. "They worked together and were brothers for years. They were all so young when this thing first started."

Diesel isn't the only one of the Fast and Furious crew mourning Walker. Jordana Brewster recently revealed that her connection to Walker is forever.

Meadow took to Instagram to share a video of the beachside wedding celebration. She posted a black and white video and captioned it, "We're married." The video showed Meadow walking around in her bridal gown and enjoying the car ride with the groom. She is also seen greeting her godfather – Fast & Furious actor Vin Diesel and his family as they arrive at the venue.

Fans got emotional on seeing Vin take on Paul's role at the wedding. “Paul Walker's daughter Meadow got married and most likely it was Vin Diesel who took her down the aisle for her calling and considering him her second father, and Jordana she calls her second mother, oh my god I love them so much,” wrote one. “Vin Diesel walking Meadow Walker down the aisle at her wedding in place of Paul has me shaking and crying right now,” wrote another.

Vin Diesel Walked Paul Walker’s Daughter Down the Aisle at Her Wedding

The most heartwarming display of family from the Fast and the Furious franchise yet.
Family is the most important theme in the Fast and Furious franchise, trumping fast cars, exposed biceps, and the charming banter. That was proven once more in heartwarming fashion when Vin Diesel walked Meadow Walker, daughter of the late Paul Walker, down the aisle at her October 22 wedding.

Paul Walker died in a November 2013 car accident, which was devastating for his Fast cast members, particularly Diesel. The pair had been working together for more than a decade and were personally close. Diesel is Meadow’s godfather, and he even named his six-year-old Pauline after Walker.

In a June interview with E!, Diesel spoke about the loss of Walker and how it affected the franchise. Though he hasn’t been featured directly in any films since Furious 7, Walker’s character Brian O’Conner still exists in the film’s universe. (Diesel also intimated that it was possible Meadow could eventually be part of the F&F franchise, though he didn’t say anything definitive).

“When the tragedy happened back in 2013, we stopped filming Furious 7 for about five months because we were wrapping our heads around what we were going to do, while mourning. And the studio accepted a bold decision, which was to allow the character to exist in our mythology,” Diesel said. “And to that end alone, you have to honor that. On a personal level, we started this franchise together. Alongside us starting the franchise, we started a brotherhood. Our brotherhood will outlast the franchise."
Diesel also spoke to Extra about his relationship with Meadow during the press run around F9.
“She's the first person on Father's Day to wish me Happy Father's Day," Diesel said. "To see her with my children is one of the most beautiful things. There are moments when I see her playing with Pauline and it hits me so deep 'cause I can only imagine what my brother sees when he sees that."
Walker, 22, is a successful model and also runs the Paul Walker Foundation, which focuses in part on doing good for the ocean and aquatic life, a passion of her father’s. She married Louis Thornton-Allan.
While there has been plenty of coverage of Diesel and Meadow Walker, the latter may have summed up the emotions best in her Instagram caption: a simple, succinct “ayooooo.”

"See You Again"

 "Furious 7"

It's been a long day without you, my friend
And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again
We've come a long way from where we began
Oh, I'll tell you all about it when I see you again
When I see you again

Damn, who knew?
All the planes we flew, good things we been through
That I'd be standing right here talking to you
'Bout another path, I know we loved to hit the road and laugh
But something told me that it wouldn't last
Had to switch up, look at things different, see the bigger picture
Those were the days, hard work forever pays
Now I see you in a better place (See you in a better place)
Uh
How could we not talk about family when family's all that we got?
Everything I went through, you were standing there by my side
And now you gon' be with me for the last ride

It's been a long day without you, my friend
And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again (I'll see you again)
We've come a long way (Yeah, we came a long way) from where we began
(You know we started)
Oh, I'll tell you all about it when I see you again (I'll tell you)
When I see you again

Aah oh, aah oh
Wooooh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Yeah
First, you both go out your way and the vibe is feeling strong
And what's small turned to a friendship, a friendship turned to a bond
And that bond will never be broken, the love will never get lost
(The love will never get lost)
And when brotherhood come first, then the line will never be crossed
Established it on our own when that line had to be drawn
And that line is what we reached, so remember me when I'm gone
(Remember me when I'm gone)
How could we not talk about family when family's all that we got?
Everything I went through you were standing there by my side
And now you gon' be with me for the last ride

So let the light guide your way, yeah
Hold every memory as you go
And every road you take
Will always lead you home, home
It's been a long day without you, my friend
And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again
We've come a long way from where we began
Oh, I'll tell you all about it when I see you again
When I see you again

Aah oh, aah oh (Uh)
Yeah (Yeah)
Wooooh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh (Yo)
When I see you again (Yo, uh)
See you again (Yo, yo)
Oh-oh (Uh-huh)
(Yup) When I see you again
Thought you could leave without saying goodbye!

I live my life a quarter mile at a time, and you do too. That’s why we’re brothers. No matter where you are, whether it’s a quarter mile away or halfway across the world, you’ll always be with me, and you’ll always be my brother.

It’s never goodbye.
For Paul…
